Velehrad - one of the most famous pilgrimage places in Moravia - is linked to the names of the Slavic priests Cyril and Methodius. Velehrad's dominant is the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Its interior is decorated with valuable paintings and banners; the wooden engraved pews and the 18th century organ are also very rare. Later you will visit the Tupesy Pottery Museum. The unique pottery from Tupesy brought fame to the whole Moravské Slovácko Region. You can spend one of the last days of the year in the pleasant and stylish environment of the wine cellar in Polešovice, a village that belongs to the northern wine region of Slovácko. We will make our first stop at the Shoe Museum in Zlín, where you will see the history and the present day of shoe making, the development of the shoe industry and the history of the shoemaking craft. Then you can view the town of Zlín from the 16th-floor terrace of the "Zlín skyscraper", which used to be an important symbol of the Baťa era in Zlín and is now the seat of the Zlín Region. Our trip will then continue in the picturesque Wallachian town of Vizovice, where we will visit the renowned R. Jelínek distillery. You will watch a short poetic film about the history and present of the company, the new tourist route will allow you to tour the enterprise and you will also sample some of the popular products. You will definitely choose from the wide variety of products in the local company shop.
